A HUNDRED DOLLARS AND A WHOLE VILLAGE

In a small village in Cusco, Peru, I borrowed a $100 bill from someone to pay my hotel, since the nearest ATM is a half-hour taxi ride away.

As I was walking to the hotel, I pulled out my phone, and the bill must have slipped out of my jacket pocket. I didn’t notice until I reached the hotel and panicked.

I retraced my steps, asking everyone I met. I didn’t expect to find it, but I had to try.

Five minutes later, there it was—in the middle of the road, untouched. A few people had walked by, but no one had taken it. The entire village even joined in to help me search.

Where else in the world could this happen? This little moment of honesty, kindness, and community is something I’ll never forget. 💙

As a digital nomad I can work from wherever I want, as long as I have a wifi connection. In the pictures you see my different ‘office’ set-ups in Puglia! 👩🏼‍💻

For me it is inspiring to be location independent and change environments often. Yes, it takes energy to move, but it provides me with a lot of inspiration for my books, my work, my coaching, my friendships and life in general. ✨

I am now watching the Netflix series Breaking Bad for the third (!) time. The first time was really overwhelming and binge-worthy. Then I discovered Better Call Saul, the great prequel, and that experience made me curious to watch ‘Breaking Bad’ again. After ‘Better Call Saul’ you understand the story even better. Recently I started again, for the third time, and again I see new things. The character development and the story are just…brilliant! Create a jar where you can put in notes of beautiful moments; appreciation, wonder, connection, letting go, being present, and tuning in to your body.

🌳 Change your environment
Sometimes a change of scenery is all you need to stimulate your senses and gain fresh energy. This could be a walk in nature, visiting a new city, or simply working from a different location.

👀 Break your routine
Step out of your usual "to-do" mindset by trying something new. This could be picking up a new hobby or going on a spontaneous adventure. Bring some spontaneity into your daily life to keep things fresh.

🧘🏼‍♀️ Out of your head, into your body
Shift your focus to body awareness and sensory experiences. Practices like yoga, meditation, and mindful movement can help you reconnect with your body and break free from overthinking.

🎨 Create space for creativity
Allow yourself time and space to be creative—whether it’s drawing, painting, writing, or any form of artistic expression. The key is to create without pressure or a specific goal. 🌎 TIME TRAVEL 🪄 My last day on Koh Phangan,

🌎 TIME TRAVEL 🪄

My last day on Koh Phangan, Thailand. I take in the palm trees, the warm breeze running through my hair as I ride my scooter, and the friends who stay here—eating, swimming, relaxing.

At the same time, my thoughts are already in Amsterdam, where I’ll fly tomorrow for three days. Friends are waiting, and I’m looking forward to strolling along the canals and feeling the cooler air. Then, I’ll head to Peru, Cusco, at 3,000 meters altitude, for a shamanic retreat.

As always, before boarding a plane, I reflect on how flying is like using a time machine. You step into a box for a few hours and emerge in a different country, a different climate, a different time zone, a new language, food, people.

And yet, those other universes remain. Thailand continues to exist. Amsterdam continues to exist. Peru continues to exist—all alongside each other. People live in those dimensions while I’ve just hopped from one to the next.

When you think about it, it’s pure magic. And when you see travel this way, it transforms from merely boarding a plane into something extraordinary.

This week, I’m living in three different dimensions. Truly time travel ✨
