Recently, many countries have launched a 'Digital Nomad Visa', a document or program that gives digital nomads, location-independent entrepreneurs and remote workers the legal right to work remotely, while residing away from their country of permanent residence. 🌍

There are currently around 50 digital nomad visas. That seems like a good development. But what do digital nomads, and especially those with a Dutch/European passport, benefit from it? Do you want to know when to apply for a Digital Nomad Visa and when to save yourself money and trouble? Link in the bio. 🤷🏼‍♀️

WHICH BOOK HAS CHANGED YOUR LIFE? ✨

For me there are several:

👉🏼 James Michener's book ‘Caribbean’ inspired me to get my Masters in anthropology and Latin American studies.

👉🏼 Tim Ferriss’s book 'The four hour workweek' showed me the first steps into a location independent life as an entrepreneur.

👉🏼 The first book that I wrote myself 'What is your excuse?' changed my life in many ways: putting my story onto paper was both a healing process and a way to share the lessons I learned with others. It also helped me to develop my Reverse Writing system, which I used to write 30 more books and which has helped thousands of others to put their story onto paper.

Stel je voor dat de burgemeester van de stad waar je op een conferentie bent, je verwelkomt met een presentatie, een gitaar en een lied? Of dat die bescheiden man die je bij het kampvuur ontmoet ineens de volgende avond op het podium staat en een bekende ‘singer-songwriter’ blijkt te zijn, die ook nog eens bij ieder lied vertelt welke ervaringen uit zijn eigen leven tot de ontroerende teksten hebben geleid? 🎶

Het is altijd verrassend om de verhalen achter een mens te ontdekken. Je eigen persoonlijke verhaal delen, zorgt voor een bijzondere verbinding en heeft zoveel meer impact dan een zakelijk riedeltje. Storytelling is ‘hot’, en dat komt dan ook in mijn volgende 'Van idee tot boek' workshop terug! 😃

How MANY followers you have doesn't really matter. The REASON why they follow you is key. Did you ever ask them?

Did you ever look at your own timeline as if you saw it for the very first time? What is the first impression you get? Do you enjoy reading it? Or are you getting annoyed by self-centered posts, or selling, or too much repeating posts?

Why don't you share with your followers, like you would share with a friend? Small insights, things that happened today, tips about things they struggle with and you are good at.

Social media and publicity can be EASY. In fact it should be easy. And it should match your personal voice. Interaction should be the same as offline.

Join me for two hours this coming Tuesday, January 17th, for a live online ‘write-focus session’ to get into the ‘right focus’ to concentrate on your book or other writing projects.

Why? Since writing together with others is motivating.

Participants in my writing retreats always mention that writing together gives them a boost. Now you can achieve this same effect at your own kitchen table.

The first 15 minutes is sharing what you will be working on, for which I will give some tips. During the next 90 minutes of focused working, you can ask me questions via chat. The last 15 minutes is 'live' sharing of what you have done, what you are proud of, what you want feedback on, or what you have questions about.

Can’t believe how beautiful the Puglian coast is. I even swam today; in January!

Normally I spend the winters in Asia or the Caribbean or South Africa. This is my first winter in Europe in 15 years! And I must say: so far, so good!
