Esther went on a tantra holiday
An interview in ‘Margriet Zomerboek’…
Margriet Zomerboek approached me to ask if I wanted to share my story about my experiences during tantra retreats (or sex holidays, as they initially called it, haha). I didn’t hesitate for a moment, because I think that the mystery and perhaps stigma surrounding tantra could use some clarity.
For the article I was interviewed extensively and beautiful photos were taken on the beach. It was only 6 degrees and wind force 6 and I was sick: I had caught dengue fever in Curaçao…. So I took a handful of paracetamol and the make-up artist and hairdresser got to work.
When I had to go onto the beach in a tiny dress, I tried to evoke the playful feminine energy that I had come to know during the retreats. And it worked! While the photographer had to go inside every now and then to warm up, I frolicked on the beach and beautiful photos captured that energy, which illustrate exactly what the interview is about.
