The past seven weeks I have stayed in one place! At the beautiful Highden estate in New Zealand, for the Temple Training. I only left the land twice, once to get groceries and once for a small excursion. Therefore this inspiration shot has a slightly different format than usual. I slowed everything down, really landed, am less in my head and more in my body. Still deeply connected to Highden, the Mystery School. At the same time I already notice how the transition back to the 'normal world' immediately brings a few rollercoasters and tests. More on that below. I will try to translate what I learned into something that is also useful in everyday life. I hope at least one of these reflections will resonate with you, make you think, and perhaps open up a new insight.

Between an outrageously expensive New Year’s party I chose to walk out of before midnight, a list of magical moments on my phone, and tying up loose ends as I prepare for a six-week Temple Training in New Zealand. Since making that decision, my life seems to be organising itself. Saying ‘no' more often. Carrying less. Creating more space. In this Inspiration shot, I share a few concrete moments where this became visible, maybe you will recognise something of yourself in them.

You can have and do everything your heart desires, but in the end, it all comes down to connection. The feeling of belonging, of sharing, laughing, and growing together.

This past month, I spent time with my tribes, the Dynamite Circle and a few people from ISTA. With old friends who feel like family, new people who immediately felt familiar. Sometimes you realize the true value of community in the most unexpected places, like a stuck elevator.

Showtime! – Inspiration shot June 2025

Only 4 weeks to go. Preparations for my theatre show on June 28 are in full swing. Are nerves getting the better of me? No, not really. Even though there’s still a lot to be done, I mostly feel a deep trust that it will all come together.

But what is happening: I’m learning. A lot. About letting go. About trusting the moment. About the tension between spontaneity and planning. About myself.

In this Inspiration Shot, I’ll take you behind the scenes. Not just of the theatre, but also of the creative process. Because making a show might look spectacular from the outside, but on the inside, it’s mostly a journey. A search for what feels right. For how things could be done differently. And how I can make my own rules.

Maybe you’ll recognise something in my process. Maybe it will inspire you to create your own ‘show’ in your own way.
