I did realize that I have a lot of knowledge and experience in a specific niche: subscription models for product-based businesses. And that companies really need that right now. But I had no idea how to write a book, where to start, and most importantly: how to find the time. Esther triggered me with her \u2018Reverse Writing\u2019 method, I decided to give it a try and booked a writing retreat and another one a few months later. This was the only time I could free up to work on the book.<\/p>\n
Starting with the back cover was magical. It allowed me to test my book idea in the market. To my surprise, I immediately received a few hundred orders for the book. Now I HAD to write it!<\/p>\n
The next surprising step was to have a cover designed. This really brought the book to life. The photo of me, the typewriter, and my book was taken while I was still writing it. In fact, I had a completely different book in my hand: we just photoshopped the cover of my book on it\u2026This way I could promote my book before it was ready.<\/p>\n<\/div>

In total it took about two years, but I finished it. Now I ordered a proof version from Amazon and am doing one last round of proofreading. It will be released in the next few weeks. And I\u2019m so proud!<\/p>\n
There is one additional result that I did not expect. By creating an outline for the book and defining the different themes, I unknowingly laid the foundation for my new company Black Winch<\/a>, in which my team and I help companies kickstart or upgrade their \u2018As-A-Service\u2019 models.<\/p>\nThe book gives me the authority, visibility, and it brings leads and certainly also the confidence that there is a real need for advice in this specific niche market! \u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>
