Some suggestions:<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\"><h3><strong>Shopping and strolling<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-4\"><p>I am more into window shopping than buying, but I love to stroll these streets with local feel, no big retail chains but small shops, galleries, cafes etc.:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nlstreets.nl\/EN\/shopping\/amsterdam\/area\/haarlemmerdijk\/\">Haarlemmerdijk<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nlstreets.nl\/EN\/shopping\/amsterdam\/area\/utrechtsestraat\/\">Utrechtsestraat<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/de9straatjes.nl\/en\/home\">De 9 straatjes<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-5\"><h3><strong>Restaurants and cafes<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-6\"><ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.winkel43.nl\/\">Winkel 43<\/a>\u00a0at Noordermarkt. The best apple pie in the world (and believe me, I have done my research!). On a Saturday (organic market day), they bake and sell between 80-100 pies, still warm from the oven. Waiting in the line outside is absolutely worth it.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.laviniagoodfood.nl\/\">Lavinia Good Food<\/a>\u00a0in the quaint Kerkstraat: my favorite Saturday after yoga hangout. Healthy food, very tasty, in a trendy hippie environment.<\/li>\n<li>In the same street you\u2019ll find\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.iens.nl\/restaurant\/39109\/amsterdam-mimi-latteria-milanese\">Latteria Mimi<\/a>, a small Italian eatery with some table son the sidewalk.<\/li>\n<li>Oriental food in a posh decor.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.restaurantdynasty.nl\/\">Dynasty<\/a>\u00a0serves\u00a0great\u00a0Thai Chinese dishes: try the \u2018Secret of the ox\u2019: the meat is incredibly\u00a0tender!
